My Approach
I work in an integrative way with my clients. This approach has at it's foundation a client-centred approach, which puts the client (you) at the heart of the work of counselling session. In our sessions together we will look at the past, present and future to gain an understanding of your life to date and where you would like to be.
Working in an integrative way allows me to work in this way and to draw on several counselling approaches. The approaches I draw most heavily on are Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-centred therapy and a range of coaching tools from Positive Psychology.
In working with your past we will also work in a Psychodynamic way drawing on Attachment Theory and understanding how the can show up in the present.
If the above doesn't mean much to you, the most important thing to understand is that we will work collaboratively and create sessions that work for you.
If there are approaches above, such as CBT, that you would like to work with then that is also possible as we can work them in to our sessions.
Do get in contact if you would like to have a session.
